Neil Barron is a product designer with a technical background (Aeronautics/ Astronautics, Rolls Royce) who has produced many mainstream commercial products through Gusto Design Ltd, his award winning industrial design consultancy which operates across international markets for diverse clients. These include Boots, E.ON, Fender Guitars, Intel, Kimberly Clark, Lipton (France), Microsoft MSN.CO.UK, NCR Knowledge Lab, Glaxo Smithkline, Thulé Sweden & Unilever. Neil works with most companies at board or senior management level on strategic innovation projects. Each project is different and Neil thrives on the challenge to create the new, but thinks and acts responsibly regarding sustainability, cultural and social issues. Most recently Neil's design for a recycled glass water carafe won the London on Tap competition and has gone into volume production; it will appear in cafes, bars, hotels and restaurants throughout the capital and will be given to every MP and MEP. Neil continues links with education through his role as part time senior tutor at the Royal College of Art, London where he is currently running the second year of the Innovation Design Engineering Joint Masters with Imperial College.
