I’m a versatile and accomplished commercial copywriter specialising in the energy and financial sectors. I’ve worked for clients such as financial services company Aviva Plc and Dutch energy major Essent and their energy trading division, Essent Trading, specialising on energy sustainability. I am the director of my own company (Inkwell Commercial Writing Services).
My portfolio includes web copy, speeches, CSR policy statements, shareholder communications and even poetry. I’ve ghosted technical and general interest articles for publication in British and European business periodicals. I’m equally comfortable writing for internal and external audiences, and I’ve collaborated extensively with clients for whom English is not a first language.
Before turning to commercial writing full-time, I was employed for over 15 years in the financial services industry. During this time I was based in the City of London and travelled extensively in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, and spent several years spearheading internet banking projects. I speak some French, Italian, Spanish, Arabic and Hindi.
Aside from my commercial writing activities, I’ve contributed lifestyle articles and features – often on the vagaries of parenthood – to the London Evening Standard. I’ve also written a political thriller, ‘Knaves’ Poker’, which is circulating London literary agents.
